This is the first book by this author i've read and i really loved! did not disappoint at all! I loved the mix between the Rapunzel and Medusa retelling as Selestra is a witch with long green hair and snake-like eyes thats locked in a tower by the immortal king. I enjoyed the magic system, the death visions and taking souls for power was really interesting and I found the magic system quite easy to follow.

The story is told from dual first-person POV's: Selestra, a witch, and Nox, a member of the King's army. It’s an enemies to lovers so I was already hooked tbh.

I would definitely recommend this book to fantasy lovers! There was lots of action, a good plot, likeable characters and decent villains. 💖
